Crane Performance Products
Founded in 1947 with a focus on the production of precision parts using a variety of plastic polymers, Crane Plastics soon established a reputation for quality products and innovative ideas. During the 1950s, we developed a unique expertise in the controlled extrusion of polyvinyl resin. In a 1957 in a joint venture with Monsanto, we designed and engineered the world's first extrusion die system to produce a solid vinyl residential exterior siding. In the following years, we manufactured vinyl siding products that were marketed by such companies as Alside, Bendix, CertainTeed and Johns-Manville. In 1976, we introduced our own proprietary line of siding, superior to alternative products in the marketplace. We followed that advance by pioneering the double clapboard configuration and advanced color technology. Today our products are recognized for their superior workmanship, durability and performance, including our new SOLID CORE SIDING® products, such as CraneBoard®. U.S. manufacturing is done in two facilities. A state-of-the-art facility opened in 2000 and the original production plant opened in 1976.

Household Metals, Inc. HMI
Household Metals Incorporated traces its beginnings to 1983 as a manufacturer of sheet metal and steel radiator covers with roots in the machining industry. Over the following years, HMI's customer base continued to expand due to its ability to interact with customers on a more personal level. As HMI's experience with steel fabrication progressed along with its success in the manufacturing industry, relocation to a larger facility on Scotts Lane in Northwestern Philadelphia was necessary to allow ample room for growth. In 1988, HMI's continuous drive for innovation led to the replacement of their line of sheet metal and radiator covers with steel security doors. Prosperity in the steel security door market allowed HMI to expand its growing product line in 1994 with a new line of steel entry doors. Lehigh Surfaces, based in Lehigh Valley, PA, manufactures and wholesales household surfacing products. Almost all of our products are based on polymer technologies and are handcrafted by a highly skilled American workforce. Our full line of products include molded vanity tops, trim pieces, shower enclosures, kitchen countertops, window sills and other household surfacing products. We manufacture both standard and custom sizes in a variety of colors and surfacing material.
The business was started in the 1970’s as an entrepreneurial venture by M/S Pat & Gail Cronin. The venture, which started as Lehigh Cultured Marble Inc. in a small work shop and 3-person crew (including the Cronins) in Coplay, PA, grew to 40,000+ Sq. Ft. manufacturing and distribution operation with over 30 full-time employees and over 150 loyal and happy customer accounts by 2003. M/S Cronins sold the business to The LeoTaur Technology Group, Inc. in 2003 and started their journey into retirement.
Narsu Tatikola, President and Owner of the LeoTaur Technology Group, Inc., continued the tradition of high quality products and commitment to superior customer service. The business grew in the ensuing two years and in 2005 our trading name was changed to Lehigh Surfaces from Lehigh Cultured Marble. Solatube Daylighting Systems
Design is not spontaneous and Solatube International, Inc., made a conscious decision to revolutionize the daylighting industry. Changing the way people use daylighting has simply been the result of our passion to challenge conventional thinking and find a better way. Solatube International, Inc., was challenged to find an affordable way to bring natural light into dark spaces where natural light had rarely been an option. Our original designs were revolutionary and earned the praise of the media and the loyalty of product owners all over the world. In a quest to tell others about this fantastic new invention, the market needed a name. Thus, the term “tubular skylight” was born.”
Over the years, we continued to innovate, adding optical technology throughout the system to capture more sunlight on the roof, transfer more sunlight through the tubing and effectively diffuse the light in the building interior. Swanstone
For nearly four decades, we have been a quiet leader in the kitchen and bath industry. Our high-quality products have always balanced durability, value and style. Innovation is one of our core values, and we have set a standard with our ability to invent. Now it’s time to reinvent. We have placed all of our products under the name Swanstone. We have divided them into three collections, each with a distinct focus. And, we represent the new Swanstone brand with the promise Strength Balance Beauty.
For more than 40 years, we've been creating innovative and affordable solid surface products and materials for customers all over the world. It started in 1964, when we introduced the Swan Shell Shower (left), a doorless, shell-shaped shower that captured the spirit of its time. The Shell Shower was the first in a long line of original kitchen and bath products from Swan, including the Circle Shower as well as the industry's first compression-molded bathtub wall system. In 1987, we introduced Swanstone to the world, first with a line of vanity tops and bowls. Swanstone quickly became known for its superior impact strength, heat resistance, and ability to resist scratches and stains. Consumers now had an elegant and durable solid surface material that was also affordable. Since then, our Swanstone line has expanded to include a wide variety of kitchen sinks, countertops, tub and shower walls, and more. In 1994 we introduced the Swanstone 1/4" sheet program, offering even more flexibility to Swanstone customers. In 1997 we introduced a complete line of Swanstone products for the restaurant industry, including tabletops, countertops, vanity tops, mop service sinks and windowsills.
Thermal Industries, Inc
It all began in the early 1960's, with over 40 years experience in the vinyl window industry. Thermal Industries has developed an extensive line of high quality, energy efficient vinyl replacement windows and doors that help millions of homeowners to live more comfortably. Thermal Industries, Inc. has taken this knowledge and expertise a step further to develop new and innovative products, many of which are industry firsts. One stunning addition to Thermal's product line was in the 1970's was the introduction of the first custom bow and bay window designs.
Thermal Industries incorporated their custom vinyl window and door systems into an insulating, polystyrene wall system to create the DreamspacE® Patio Enclosure System in the mid 1990's.. Also in the mid 1990s, Thermal took a giant step into the outdoor products market with the innovative vinyl Dream®Deck, Rail and Dock Systems. These systems introduced homeowners to the world of Barefoot FriendlyTM and maintenance-free deck surfaces. Today, Thermal Industries is a division of Atrium Companies, the largest, most widely recognized manufacturer and distributor of residential vinyl and aluminum windows and patio doors.

A tour through a typical manufacturer’s plant usually reveals powerful, noisy equipment and some dust. A tour through the plant at TimberTech leading manufacturer of composite decking, railing and fencing products, reveals a pleasant surprise: disabled personnel working alongside the rest of the employees, keeping pace with the rapidly moving production line. In an effort to increase the public’s awareness of the contributions and skills of workers with disabilities, Congress designated each October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month in 1988. Carey Walley, Director of Marketing for TimberTech, recognizes how important this awareness is. Clients from the Orion Rehabilitation have many working clients at TimberTech, Carey Walley, stated, “We want to show other companies how fulfilling it is to work with this kind of organization. These employees give 110 percent every day, and their productivity has increased 15 percent in just a few short months.”
Velux
Established in 1975, VELUX America is a branch of the VELUX Group charged with marketing and selling VELUX roof windows and skylights in the US. VELUX has been providing daylight and fresh air to people worldwide for over 60 years. VELUX has a long history of fulfilling consumer desires for natural light and ventilation, going all the way back to our founding in Denmark back in 1941.
The company beginnings were out of necessity. After the devastation of WWII, there was a tremendous lack of housing and commercial space throughout Europe. The VELUX founder, Mr. Villum Kann Rasmussen, saw an opportunity to provide more space by bringing natural light and air into attic spaces through the roof. This idea led to the design of the first roof windows, which were initially used to convert unused attics into classrooms. From those early beginnings, VELUX has expanded throughout the world by providing ways to convert unusable space into the best room in the house. Today, VELUX operates companies in over 40 countries around the globe, including in the US.
VELUX first came to the US in 1975, with the creation of the first VELUX overseas sales and marketing company, VELUX America Inc. This was followed in 1978 by the establishment of VELUX Greenwood Inc, the manufacturing center of VELUX products sold in the US, Canada, Japan, Australia and other countries. In 2001, VELUX Solutions Inc was created to oversee the proper installation and servicing of VELUX products in the US. Together, VELUX America, VELUX Greenwood and VELUX Solutions bring the benefits of daylight and fresh air into the spaces where people live, work and enjoy themselves.
Wilsonart International
Wilsonart International was founded as a producer of high pressure decorative laminate in 1956 in Temple, Texas, by Ralph Wilson, Sr., a retired laminate industry executive. Wilson’s intent was never to build a major competitor - the field in those days included 12 domestic competitors - but rather to fill his free time. Throughout the 1960s, Wilson’s “hobby” grew dramatically through a formula comprising a dedicated local work force, high-quality products and an old-fashioned commitment to customer service. The company, then known as Ralph Wilson Plastics Company, was founded on the promise to deliver “laminate anywhere in the United States in 10 days or less.” To ensure this, the company purchased and still maintains its own fleet of delivery trucks in North America. A warehouse system, now comprising 15 facilities in North America, was put in place to respond to diverse market conditions and maintain a vast inventory of laminate close to every customer.
The mid-1970’s brought the real push to establish what has become the world’s finest network of independent wholesale distributors of building materials. These distributors today number more than 200 across the globe and serve as the personification of Wilsonart International, marketing with the same ideals and service philosophy on which Wilsonart was founded. By the end of the 1970’s, Wilsonart Laminate had become one of the nation’s leading brands of decorative laminate. A new plant, located in Fletcher, North Carolina, was added in 1979 to meet increasing demand for product. Less than eight years later, “Temple North” - the world’s most highly efficient, state-of-the-art laminate production facility - came on line in Temple. This facility has since doubled in size and is over 500,000 square feet. The 1980’s marked the beginning of product diversification for Wilsonart International. Design Group I (now The Standards), the company’s line of readily available solid colors and patterns, was instituted and has become, in large part, an industry standard for design direction. Wilsonart Decorative Metals joined the line’up in the mid-1980’s. By the 1990s, Wilsonart International’s product diversification sped up to meet new market opportunities. International expansion became an important new focus for the company in the 1990’s. By the year 2000, Wilsonart had established a global network through major off-shore investments in acquisitions and Greenfield operations.

Yorktowne is a fully integrated manufacturer of fine cabinetry. This means we start with green lumber and take it through to the finished product. We control all phases of the manufacturing process, ensuring the production of finely crafted, quality cabinets every step of the way. The process begins in our Dimension Mill in Mifflinburg, PA. Finally, all face frames, doors and drawer components are produced with state-of-the-art woodworking machinery. Our plant in Red Lion, PA and our new plant in Danville, VA take over and concentrate on fine milling, assembly and finish operations. After all finishing processes are completed, the cabinets are carefully assembled, reviewed for quality assurance, cartooned and shipped
